ISO 42001

Our journey toward ISO 42001 certification for AI management systems.

Certification Status

In Progress. Future AGI is actively working toward ISO 42001 certification, with a target completion in late 2026.

What ISO 42001 Covers

ISO/IEC 42001 is the first international standard for AI management systems (AIMS). Published in 2023, it establishes requirements for organizations that develop, provide, or use AI systems to do so responsibly, transparently, and with appropriate governance.

The standard addresses:

  • AI governance and accountability — Defining roles, responsibilities, and oversight structures for AI systems
  • Risk management — Identifying and mitigating risks specific to AI, including bias, fairness, and unintended outcomes
  • Data quality and management — Ensuring training and evaluation data meets quality, relevance, and representativeness standards
  • Transparency and explainability — Providing appropriate documentation and explanations of AI system behavior
  • Human oversight — Maintaining meaningful human control over AI decisions and outputs

Why It Matters for an AI Observability Platform

As a platform that helps organizations evaluate, monitor, and govern their AI systems, Future AGI holds itself to the same rigorous standards we enable for our customers. ISO 42001 certification will provide independent validation that our own AI practices — from our Turing evaluation models to our guardrail systems — meet the highest international standards for responsible AI.

Our Approach

Future AGI is embedding responsible AI practices throughout the organization:

  • Bias and fairness testing for all evaluation models, with documented testing methodologies and results
  • Transparency documentation for model capabilities, limitations, and intended use cases
  • Human oversight mechanisms ensuring that automated evaluations and guardrail decisions can be reviewed, overridden, and appealed
  • Impact assessments conducted before deploying new AI capabilities, evaluating potential risks to customers and end users
  • Continuous monitoring of model performance, drift, and fairness metrics in production
